The God-Eye’s Judgment

The Nameless Billionaire: My Ex-Wife's Regret. · by James Moon

Silas’s thumb hammered the detonator button with a frantic, animalistic speed. His eyes were bloodshot, bulging from his head as he looked for any sign of an explosion. "Die! Die with me, you arrogant brat!" he screamed, his voice cracking under the pressure of his own madness.

Nothing happened.

The Kaelen Tower remained perfectly still. The only sound in the boardroom was the hum of the air conditioning and Silas’s ragged, heavy breathing. He stared at the plastic remote in his hand, his face turning from a sickly pale to a deep, bruised purple. He couldn't understand why his final plan had failed.

"The signal is dead, Uncle," I said, my voice cutting through the silence like a cold blade. "I blocked every frequency in this building the moment I stepped onto the helipad. Did you really think I’d walk into my own home without checking for snakes in the grass?". I walked toward him, the distance between us closing with the slow, steady rhythm of a funeral march. Silas backed away, his heels hitting the floor-to-ceiling glass window that overlooked the city he had tried to steal from me.

"You think you’ve won?" Silas spat, dropping the useless remote. "The Blackwoods and the Vances are just the beginning. The entire board is on my payroll! The police, the banks, the media—they all belong to me! You’re just one man with a ring!".

"I'm not just a man with a ring," I whispered, standing inches from his face. "I am the heir who survived your fire. I am the one who pulled my lifesaver from the jaws of your pet, Silas Vance". I raised my hand, and the emerald ring pulsed once. On the giant monitors surrounding the boardroom, live feeds flickered to life. One showed Marcus Vance being dragged out of his mansion in handcuffs. Another showed the Blackwood Syndicate’s headquarters being raided by federal agents. The final screen showed a list of the twelve directors—each one of their offshore accounts was being drained to zero in real-time.

"You didn't just lose the company, Silas," I said, my eyes glowing with the cold light of the God-Eye. "You lost the right to exist in this world. By tomorrow, the name 'Silas Kaelen' will be synonymous with a ghost."

Silas collapsed to his knees, his spirit finally breaking. He looked out at the city, realizing that the empire he had spent decades trying to usurp had been reclaimed by a "nobody" in a single night. He realized that the man he had mocked was now his master.

"Thomas," I called out without looking back. "Take him to the deepest cell in the Kaelen manor. I want him to spend the rest of his life watching my success from a screen he can’t touch".

As Thomas’s team dragged the sobbing man away, I stood alone at the head of the mahogany table. The weight of the Kaelen Group was now firmly on my shoulders. I looked at the emerald ring on my finger, the deep green stone that had belonged to my father. There was one more piece of business to settle before I could rest.

I looked at my phone. A message had arrived from the hospital. Mia was awake, and she was asking for me. But below that was a notification from the university.

“Ethan, the Hawthorne family has been officially removed from the board of trustees. However, Elara Hawthorne has requested a private meeting with you before she is processed. She claims she has information about the night your parents died—information the Kaelen family has been hiding for twenty years.”.

My grip tightened on the edge of the table. My parents’ death was supposed to be a tragic car accident. But if Elara—the daughter of the family that lived in my shadow—knew something else, it meant the conspiracy went deeper than just a greedy uncle. It meant that the people I called family might be murderers.

"Thomas," I said, my voice echoing in the empty boardroom. "Get the car. We’re going to the holding cells. It’s time for Elara to pay her final debt."

I walked out of the boardroom, my heart cold. The hunt wasn't over. The ex-wife who had spat on me in the mud was about to become the key to the greatest secret in the Kaelen bloodline. I had spent three years as a nobody, and now that I was a king, I was going to find out who destroyed my real life.

As I stepped into the elevator, I felt a new mission form in my mind. It wasn't about money anymore. It wasn't about status. It was about blood.
