The Song of Violet Snow

My name is Violet Snow. I was twenty when the dragons came. There was no warning. Everything I had known and loved was gone in an instant. My husband left me for dead after a dragon attack, but I survived. There are things that can never be healed, though, or forgiven. In the wake of destruction, our world was plunged into a new Ice Age. There's nothing left but survival now, and the fleeting hope that we might someday get our world back. Most days, it feels like a lonely, pointless life, but maybe that's all about to change.
