Bound To The Cursed Hybrid: His Cure · by Crystal

Start Amelia’s POV

I blinked in surprise at Helion’s allegations. I was speechless. What does he mean by I am not human?

“What do you mean by that? I am entirely human!” I said, My voice dropping to a low yell.

“Then explain, how did you survive that stab?” He asked, a darker edge settling over his expression.

“I already told you, I have no idea.” I responded.

“Do you not? Let us find out then.” He stood up and walked to his drawer, opened it and brought out a small, regular penknife. Then he walked towards me with it.

“Give me your hand.” He commanded.

I didn’t move. I just stared at him, my heart hammering against my ribs. “What… what are you trying to do?” I asked as I reeled back a fraction.

“Do not make me repeat myself, Amelia. Give me your fucking hand!” Before I could react, he lunged forward, grabbed my index finger and slit it with the knife.

“Argh! what the hell!” I screamed as the sharp sting hit. I stared at the injury as blood dropped from it to the ground.

“What is your problem!?” I yelled at him.

“It is not healing. Why is that?” He asked, a dangerous glint flashing in his eyes.

I looked at the injury, and indeed, it was not healing.

“How do you expect it to heal? I am a human!” I said to him, rolling my eyes.

“Hmm. That is strange.” He muttered.

A knock on the door interrupted.

“Come in,”he said, still holding the knife.

The door opened. Kara and two other men walked in. She held an a manila folder, I could already guess what that was.

“Here, the contract. You both just need to sign.” She said, handing over the document to Helion.

He took it from her, and scanned through it, shaking his head in agreement. Then he bit his thumb and let his blood drop on the sign space. He walked over to me and stretched out the thick papers.

“Your turn” He said, but I scoffed.

“I already told you, I won’t sign that.”

“I do not have all day, Amelia. Sign it.” He said, but I stood my ground. Giving him no response.

“Fine. Do not blame me for being ruthless.” His eyes had darkened, the colour didn’t change but, something behind it had.

“Go on.” He said to one of the men. He made a call and after a few minutes, he played a voice recording.

The voices of people screaming, begging for mercy filled the room. My mind flew back to the threats he made few days ago, then I heard a sound from the recording, like something was burning. Oh God! Why is he this cruel.

The door burst open. one of the girls i was sent here with was dragged in by one of Helion’s men. She was shivering violently, her eyes wide with terror.

“Sign, Amelia. Else, I will kill her.” His voice was a low intimidating growl.

I shook my head in decline.

He got up and walked towards the girl. From where I stood, I could see his claws emerging. He slashed her arm with it, a piercing scream filled the room.

My eyes widened in shock as he walked over and stood behind her, pulling her head backwards and positioning his claws on her neck.

“Next will be her neck. Sign It.” His warned, his claws getting closer to her neck. I stood rooted to the spot, not knowing what to choose. He is going to kill them one by one if I still refuse.

He raised his hand and was about slitting her throat when I decided.

“I’ll sign!” I yelled , my voice trembling. “I’ll sign. Please, let her go.”

“Good girl” An evil grin appeared on his face. He let go of the girl, and asked the men to take her out. Then walked over and picked up the parchment from the table.

“Here you go. Drop your blood directly on top of mine.” He said and I took it from him, the blood he dropped few minutes ago hadn’t clotted; it was still fresh, and it glistened.

I pinched the wound on my finger, making it bleed, the blood dropped on the paper, directly on his own. The fluid merged together, igniting into a glowing golden and red imprint.

Suddenly, I felt a sensation on my wrist. I gasped, blinking in surprise as the same glowing imprint had appeared on my inner wrist.

“What is this?” I asked, shock evident on my face.

“I have one too.” He muttered, showing me his wrist. “ You have been bound to me, body and soul. Until you cure my curse.”

My lips fell open with a quiet gasp. I just signed a deal with the devil.

“Leave. All of you.” He said and everyone headed for the door, I followed suit, but he stopped me.

“Everyone but you, Amelia.” He said and I froze in place, the sound of the door slamming shut echoing in the room.

“What else do you want?.” I was already very pissed.

“Let’s talk about the contract.” He said and I scoffed.

I turned around, only to bump into him, my forehead hitting his broad and firm chest. I winced and rubbed my forehead before looking up at him, taking a few steps back. He smirked and walked over to the armchair, throwing himself on it.

“Sit.” He ordered. I walked over and sat down, opposite him.

“What did you do to my clan members?” I asked.

“Oh. I thought you’d never ask. I just, killed some.” He responded, his expression void of any emotion.

“You… you just killed innocent people and, you feel no remorse about it? I said but he laughed.

“I have killed a lot in the past years. Why should I feel remorse over a few insignificant creatures?” He said, an evil grin plastered on his face. “And you should blame yourself. You are the cause of their death.”

“You are cruel.” I murmured.

“I know.” He paused. “ Now, let’s talk about you.”

My eyes flew up to meet his.

“You are to come running whenever I summon you. If you do not, there will be consequences.” He smirked, his gaze dropped briefly to my lips. “And I assure you, you do not want to know what those consequences would be.”
