** Jc's POV **
After a while, I noticed something moving behind her. So I carefully moved my eyes a little to see what it was.
Looks like I've seen something crazier than me kissing her. This was going to be epic for sure.
Instead of her lips, I brought my lips to her ear while smiling, briefing scanning her face as I whispered, "What's that behind you?"
"Huh?" She jolted in surprised by what I said unexpectedly. It was completely out of what she was assuming.
"I said, what's that behind you?" I whispered in her ear again, voice vibrating in suppressed laughter.
She turned behind her, slowly as though hesitant to figure out what I meant. And when she saw what I was talking about, her eyes widened, and she tried to run behind me while she kept screaming.
"AAAHH!! FROG!!"
"HAHAHAHA!!" I burst out laughing. I was holding my stomach and shoulders heaving up and down, so hard that I almost rolled on the ground. Her reaction was hysterically funny that I completely lost myself.
"Four!! You're annoying!" She yelled at me angrily as she hit me hard on the back. Face burning in embarrassment while sweats trace down on the edge of her face.
"Who knows if there was a frog wandering around here?" I answered between laughs, lips grinning from ear to ear that could almost tore down my face.
"Take it off!!" She screamed frantically even louder as the frog jumped closer to us. Bro, her scream seemed like a sharp edge piercing holes on my eardrums.
She was pulling my arm back while screaming, so I was also pulled back. Her hand was cold and sweaty, and shaking. It was like she really saw some element of the world that could destroy her thinking. I was still laughing while she was about to be admitted to a mental hospital.
As much as I enjoyed the moment, I had to do something before she would completely lose it. And since I was deafened by the loudness of her scream, I picked up a rock and threw it at the frog, and luckily, it went off the waterfall.
When the frog was out of sight, she let go of my arm and squatted behind me with her face buried in her palms. I was still laughing when I turned and watched her. Her knees were shaking, and her arms were sweating profusely.
I stopped laughing when I saw her condition. She was really serious about being afraid of frogs.
"Prim, are you okay?" I asked as I softly stroked her hair.
She angrily slapped my hand away from her, then stood up silently and walked in the other direction without a single word.
"Wait. Primera, where are you going?" I called her with a smile as I followed her.
But she didn't even turn around or answer. It looked like she was pissed off.
"Sorry, Primera. It's just a joke. Don't take it seriously." I called out while still tailing her.
After a while, she stopped and faced me, almost stabbing me with her glare. "And you think that's a good joke? I almost died from being so nervous, you gay!"
I bit my lip at the last word she said. My patience was about to run out. If she repeated it one more time, I wouldn't be able to hold back.
"That's why I'm sorry, right? Because it's not funny." I answered, holding back my annoyance.
"You know it's not funny; why did you do it!? You're really annoying, gay-----"
She stopped talking when I grabbed her hand, pulled her closer to me, and kissed her...
On the cheek...
Her eyes widened in obvious shock, and she stared blankly at me.
I smiled at her, then calmly replied, "You thought about the lips. I don't want to make you nervous again."
She made me feel so weird when she smiled so sweetly, like the smile of a happy angel. I saw her face light up because of the sweetness of her smile that illuminated her face. I didn't understand how I felt. My hand was sweating nervously, as if my blood was rushing to my face, as if I was the only one who didn't know.
I just turned around and walked away from her.
"Four, at----"
"Thank you, by the way." I said before she finished what she was going to say.
"For what?" she wondered.
I stopped walking and looked at her slightly. "At least I feel better."
There was that very sweet smile of hers that almost ruined my thinking, as her answer to what I said. I immediately took my eyes off her before I completely panicked and started walking again.
I stopped walking and turned to her with a smile when I heard her sing again. I really couldn't turn my back on her when she sang because her voice was so soothing. It was like being cradled while breathing fresh air.
"Why did you stop?" I asked when she stopped singing, when I could look at her.
"I've been singing for a while, but I haven't heard you sing yet." She reasoned as she stepped closer to me.
I turned around and continued walking, then answered, "I'm only singing to one woman."
"Who is that?" she inquired.
I looked up at the sky and answered, "She's been dead for two years."
"Is that so?" was her sad reply.
I turned to her when the tone of her voice suddenly became sad. She was stooping and seemed to be sulking.
Fine. I'll give it to you. After all, it's just a song. What is wrong with this girl that I feel guilty when I reject her?
I looked at her with a smile when she suddenly interrupted my singing by inserting another song.
I laughed briefly after the song. Besides being a good singer, she also knew how to choose what to sing.
"Why are you smiling?" she frowned at her question.
"You ruined my moment." I answered with a smile.
"Your song is so ugly. You can't be sad tonight," she protested.
I just smirked and replied, "Just go home. Maybe your sister is looking for you."
"So you're letting me go?" she asked.
"It's too late. Something might happen to you." I continued.
"I'll take you to the jeep waiting area first." She insisted.
Her head is really stubborn...
"Not anymore. I can do it." I answered with a smile, "Besides, it's close."
"You said that. If something happens to you on the way, don't blame me." She reminded me.
I grinned from ear to ear. "Nothing will happen to me. Don't worry."
I heard her stop walking, then she replied, "It's up to you."
I just nodded without looking at her while walking straight. "Be careful on the way home."
"Good night, Four. Take care." she answered.
I stopped walking and faced her. "Just Jc."
"Huh?" she wondered.
"John Carlo Laporre is my real name. Just Jc." I explained.
She smiled, then replied, "Rhea Castino, by the way."
"Nice meeting you, Rhea." I replied, "Visit the party house whenever you want. All drinks are free as long as it's for you."
"Really?"
"Of course. For you."
"You said it. Don't take it back."
"As long as it's for you."
